Day 1922,
Duc Trong, September 4th, 2018
Dear my best friend,
We are camping under the broken bridge near the road tonight.
There is about 25 km to arrive in Da Lat.
We didn’t imagine we can make it this far.
Cause we all wanted to give up this morning.
There was an accident last night.
We had to bring our friend to the hospital nearby.
Our backs hurt.
Our legs hurt.
All of our bodies were in pains.
We all wanted to come back to our comfort zone.
Lay down on our comfortable beds.
We wanted to stop this crazy journey.
We weren’t in the mood to continue anymore.
But
we didn’t want to come back after completing the first half of it.
We had to choose between two options: “give up”
or “continue.”

I do exercise every day for unexpected challenges like this.
But after walking for two days, my ankles began to hurt a lot.
Like a lot of things, I have been doing.
I used to learn a lot before beginning.
Spend most of my time preparing for the expected problems.
But
You know,
no matter how much I prepared,
there is always something not like what I’ve imagined.
The unexpected problems always happened.

So, I’ve learned.
The purpose of life is not to control what will happen to me.
But instead, control and choose the most suitable reactions to what happens to me.
